Symmetry - Taylor Clark

I was the producer for this music video. I helped with lighting, setting the scene and keeping people on track. We also used my house for filming.

Joy - Emotional Storyboard

I chose to do my emotion photos based on the emotion of joy.

YouTube Video

I think this video is particularly a strong video because the flow goes along with the song and it has a fluid narrative. Not to mention, the song is one of my favorites!

Condemned - Narrative

Condemned from marisa haitsma on Vimeo.

As the editor, I put together the clips that were provided and added my own sounds from freesound.org. I wanted to give the video an eerie feeling to add to the suspicious storyline. I did nothing to the color of the video because that was a request from the other ladies in my group. I hope you enjoy the video that will send chills down your spine.

It's A Derby Thing

As the director of this project, I made sure everything ran smoothly and I helped coordinate most of the shots. I gave input when editing the final piece and I helped with setting up at the shooting location. I had fun as director and if I had to do the project again, I would fix all of the technical issues that we had.

About Me

Hello, my name is Marisa Haitsma. I'm a fourth-year student here at IUSB but it's only my junior year in the program. Three words that would describe me are friendly, enthusiastic and easy going. I enjoy watching chick flicks on my own time and action flicks with my friends and family. I own a Nikon D3100 that is capable of shooting video. If I could make any kind of movie with no restrictions, I would make an action flick with a hint of romance because I'm a sucker for romantic movies! The only thing that I can bring to the table is a positive, enthusiastic attitude and I work great with people who also want to get something done and not slow poke around. I also study photography for a minor so I am great with compositions and putting together a scene. After school, I would like to work for a design firm or with a company that would allow me to work in their page layout or editing department. That's all for now and I look forward to working with a group of bright, energetic people!
